Marion's Pearls of Wisdom
 Marion's Pearls of Wisdom
I came across many inspirational thoughts during the early years of building my financial services practice. I was studying hard to graduate from university as a mature age student studying Financial Planning and being 'everything' to my 2 wonderful children Sarah & Simon (as a single professional mum). Some of these thoughts stood out from the crowd and were an inspiration to help me keep working hard, building on my dreams to provide a professional financial service with ethics and commitment. These include:

"Knowledge is Power" I have tirelessly applied myself to the challenge of acquiring as much knowledge as possible, in order to apply that knowledge to better serve our clients and maintain a quality, up to date professional service. This has in turn assisted our clients to have a better life, financially and emotionally. I believe this has also reduced their stress levels, improving their physical health as a result. Many clients have later shared with us that the improvement in their financial arena had also improved their relationship with their partner and/or family. My staff diligently apply themselves to any necessary undertaking of study, courses etc. to better serve our clients.

"Don't abandon your dreams for others lack of vision" was another powerful inspirational thought that came to me at a time when I felt I barely had an ounce of energy left in me. This one was WOW! I may have been navigating the business development on my own, but suddenly felt it was all within reach. Any person in business will know that it takes from 3 to 5 years to build a company/business. For those of you currently treading that very same path, I wish you well. Work hard and diligently, then you will stand every chance of success. If you have as much passion as I had (still have), and you believe in yourself and your chosen path, you will undoubtedly succeed.

"Failing to plan is planning to fail". (This phrase is very appropriate for all aspects of our lives.) This is a quotation that touched my professional chord as a qualified Financial Planner. With a little more planning and utilisation of available professional services, you will reach your goals earlier and easier.

The most powerful of all inspirational thoughts came to me when I was attending a professional seminar in 1996. The thoughts came from a lady by the name of Nancye Sims and are titled "Winners". Please read on and maybe you too will share some of my inspiration from these words.

"WINNERS"

Take Chances. Like everyone else they fear failing, but they refuse to let fear control them.
Don't Give Up. When life gets rough, they hang in until the going gets better
Are Flexible. They realise there is more than one way and they are willing to try others.
Know They Are Not Perfect. They respect their weaknesses while making the most of their strengths.
Fall, But They Never Stay Down. They stubbornly refuse to let a fall keep them from climbing.
Don't Blame Fate for their failures nor luck for their successes.
Accept Responsibility for their lives.
Are Positive Thinkers who see good in all things. From the ordinary, they make the extraordinary.
Believe in the Path they have chosen even when it's hard, even when others can't see where they are going.
Are Patient. They know a goal is only as worthy as the effort that's required to achieve it.
